He has worked as a dispatcher for multinational companies like Mc Moran FreePort through Cerro Verde in Arequipa - Perú project in addition to this as an advisor in other investment projects. Lead consultant in offset projects management. It also has a Masters in Economics from the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru and Defense and Hemispheric Security from the University of El Salvador , Washington DC.

Mr. Mathews has worked as a mining and energy project manager in different parts of the world. He is a specialist in the preparation of Mine Closure Plans, Erosion and Sediment Control works and Environmental Studies. His experience includes construction and consultancy work in the environment as well as in the implementation of water supply and control systems, infrastructure for mining and hydrocarbons. In Mine Closure Plans he has developed more than thirty studies that include new ones, updates and modifications. Within the works in Control of Erosion and Sediments has participated in the most important mining projects in Peru and Ghana (West Africa) and in the hydrocarbons in the Peruvian jungle. He is an independent consultant with extensive experience. Mr. Mathews is a senior advisor to several consulting firms that work in Peru and are developing environmental and erosion and sediment control studies. The engineer Mathews is ex-president and current member of the Board of the Ibero-American Chapter of IECA (International Erosion Control Association) and member of the Colombian Geotechnical Society.
